Murphy Tomatoes began in 1948, when founder Oscar P. Murphy selected the finest Arkansas and Texas tomatoes available and sold them in the Houston area. His business quickly grew, as did his family. Today, four generations of Murphys have entered the family business, bringing a sense of loyalty and history to their passion for tomatoes and the produce business. Murphy grows only tomatoes and we are entirely focused on bringing the safest, tastiest tomatoes to our valued customers.
Today, Murphy Tomatoes is a comprehensive field-to-fork operation, boasting over 3,000 combined acres in California, Florida and Texas, and with control of their tomatoes every step of the way. Each tomato is grown, harvested, triple washed, transported, repacked and distributed under the careful watch of Murphy employees.
